My Story

My research interest focuses on the modeling and control of deformable magnetomechanical structures for distributed actuation in the field of soft robotics. The emergence of soft robots with flexible joints has revolutionized the robotics industry, offering unique advantages over traditional rigid robots. These advantages include expanded workspace, reduced manufacturing costs, the potential for miniaturization, and the ability to design new kinematic architectures.

In particular, I am interested in exploring the potential of deformable magnetomechanical structures in soft robotics. These structures utilize a combination of flexible materials and magnetomechanical components to enable distributed actuation throughout the robot's body. By applying magnetic fields to the embedded magnetomechanical elements, these structures can achieve controlled deformations and perform various complex tasks.

My research aims to develop accurate mathematical models and efficient control strategies for these deformable magnetomechanical structures. By understanding the underlying principles governing their behavior, I seek to optimize their performance, improve their controllability, and enhance their overall functionality. This research has the potential to significantly advance the field of soft robotics by enabling more versatile and adaptable robots capable of performing intricate tasks in a wide range of applications.

Through experimentation, simulation, and analysis, I will investigate the interplay between the physical properties of the materials, the design parameters of the structures, and the control algorithms. This interdisciplinary research will require expertise in mechanical engineering, materials science, and control systems, which I am prepared to apply in collaboration with the Roberval-UTC and ISIR laboratories within the Sorbonne Université alliance.
